Description: My 2002 330i BMW with it's 5-speed manual, m54 3.0 liter engine, and 3300lb curb weight is not your normal hypermiling candidate.....however, with a determined pedal pusher, and an AMAZING forum of info, I'm determined to push the EPA 22 combined up to 40mpg! This will happen, it's just a matter of when, and how much ecomodding effort.
Build Thread:
Current Mods: -PS mirror delete- heat formed black ABS sheet to fill factory mirror hole
-Kidney Grill covers made from .010" PETG thermoformed sheets (stuck grills on thermoformer, and vacuum formed them for a barely noticeable look)
-Removed spare tire/jack
-50 psi cold tire pressures on all season junk tires

Planned Mods: -Minimally invasive weight reduction
-full underbody paneling (1/16" styrene or ABS sheets)
-DS mirror delete (Illinois allows it by law)
-front air dam
-wiper delete
-injector kill switch to help save my ignition
-scangauge II fuel computer to help rectify my finicky factory unit that seems to have poor resolution when displaying avg MPG in .1 increments (seems to jump in .4-.6 mpg increments at higher 30+ mpg ranges)
