Owned by my parents, driven primarily by my mother and I.
Summer 2014, my mom has averaged 45mpg (mostly city). When I drive a tank on my own (mostly city), I get 48mpg on average.
My best tank was 50mpg.
Winter 2013-2014, the average was 40-42mpg - a lot of days I was driving in -40 or through snowstorms. As it turns out, the Prius V has no problem plowing through 3-foot-high wind-hardened snow drifts.
There's scratches here and there, and the lower section of the front bumper has a crack that extends underneath - that's what happens when you drive a low-clearance vehicle in a climate that produces frequent ice chunks on the roads in winter... and in parking stalls...
I love this car, and I hope to call it my own one day.
