Extended cab, 4.3l Vortec, 5 speed (NV3500), 3.42 gear ratio, topper, 132,000 miles at purchase
This will be the replacement to my much loved (and high mpg) 1997 S10 (regular cab, 2wd, 2.2l, 5 speed, 3.73) truck. I needed 4wd with the country road conditions/private lane that we live on. I know that I will not regularly be able to exceed 32mpg in this truck, but I am hoping to average high 20's. This vehicle is going to need a good bit of maintenance to be as reliable as I would like, and I will update below to indicate what I have done, and when.
