All the data you collect is valuable information. The more the better.
Considering the specific conditions of each run, you're likely to experience 'trends.' This is your target.
And the more we know the effects of specific mods experienced for cars, from the extant literature, based on empirical test results, the better we can sort out the specifics from the trend line.
There comes a point, when you 'know' your Corolla so much, that you'll have a high confidence that some particular mod is rewarding you with some specific improvement.
I have 432,000-miles of 'test' data on my truck. The log-book is your friend!

Makes sense, thanks! I have been interested in your truck as well, since I found it. I've got a 97 t100 with 256k on it and have considered doing a few things to it. It's definitely a work truck, so I can't go full bed cover, but an air dam and some other things wouldn't hurt it. |

Those job boxes at the front of the bed are had to get to. Sliding drawers behind the tailgate sound more utile.

Update!
I took off the power steering pump belt as Dr Dude detailed in his post. (It won't let me link it here, I'm still too new. Google 2003 corolla PS delete.)
Results are a jump from avg 37mpg to 39.4mpg with some AC use and normal driving. Quite happy with that, gonna work on pushing over 40mpg now.
