FINALLY got me a CRX

O.o! I'm excited
If anyone knows me on here, you know I'm a CRX psycho...
Most people envy for Skylines and Lamborghini'... My dream car is a mint condition 1991 CRX Si

Although this one is not 1991, nor even close to mint condition.... She is close enough to tickle my fancy

Traded my 1997 Accord LX for a 1997 Civic EX to a 1988 CRX Si in the past 2 months.

Sounds a little crazy to most to trade a 97 with power everything for a 1988 Rex with power nothing but I'm sure if any community gets it, its you guys.

Nice. I definitely prefer power nothing to power everything. That CRX looks just like one that parks down the street, right down to the grotesque Altezza style taillights. I hope that's the first mod- to get stock turn signals and taillights.

I Dont car about most power stuff (like seats and mirrors) but I did like my power windows, atleast for the passenger side so I dont have to do the lean and spin

And yeah Im not a fan of the chrome tails either, Im sure they would sale fast on CL for stock but there is a piece knocked out Im sure there is a ricer somewhere in my area willing to take a em for stock though

Nice find! The 88 CRX Si is the lightest of the Si CRX models, you have pillar mounted seat belts instead of the door mounted ones, and you have the Passive Rear Steering lower control arms in the rear!

* Today my and my wife cleaned the crap out of the crx, like 2 hours of solid cleaning, She cleaned up BEAUTIFULLY! Amazing transformation.... it still boggles my mind how all the cars I get are completely trashed when I get them... Does no one take care of their cars anymore? I turned 6 new white cleaning rags to black, haha

**The only problem Im having with the car right now is a short shifter was installed on it and there is absolutely no feedback on it, it kinda just wiggles around freely, unlike my civic that you could feel and if you put it in neutral it always returned straight to the middle. This one just dangles almost... If your in 5th you can push it down slightly and it will go into the middle (like neutral) position and still be in 5th..Weird... Anyone got any ideas?

You should have more feedback with the shortened shifter. Sounds like the bushings that surround the shifter are shot or possibly the universal joint is very loose. There is a really cool universal joint product here:
