Help me pick a new(Used Car)? Any FWD with rear drive shaft lock in 4WD?

There's this annoying dude on DIYELECTRICCARS.COM named brian that uses google a lot to show people why their stuff wont fit or stuff that does fit which he finds

The rear differential assembly is not the same as the CR-V or the Civic. All I know is it will be expensive anyway.

Hey OP you might look into a Toyota Yaris sedan, if that fits the bill. Might not be capable of the towing level you want, but it's possible to get a manual transmission. Has electric mirrors, windows, and power steering.

That said, it was difficult for me to track down an '09 Yaris sedan with manual back in 2012, so it might be really difficult to find one now. The reason I can recommend it the most is that I did literally nothing but oil changes, and replaced the serpentine belt once. Drove it from 28,500 miles to ~100,000 miles and had absolutely 0 mechanical issues. And due to hypermiling I was still on the factory brake pads.

Looks like the real difference is the JDM fit awd has a saddle in the middle of the twist beam for the rear diff.

Otherwise it looks like the driveshafts just barely clear the springs.

I didn't even notice that.

At least in that picture, they don't even seem to clear them so well
