Thanks for the detailed info. Can you tell me what new cargo space dimensions are with the seats out? Like from the back of the front seats to the rear hatch, the full width at the back doors and between the wheel wells, and the full height from your load floor to the ceiling? I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

It's all angles and curves inside, so these measurements are rough at best. I tried to err on the conservative side, and you can probably safely add about a half inch to most of these.

... from the back of the front seats to the rear hatch -- 62" at load floor level.
... the full width at the back doors -- 47"
... between the wheel wells -- 39"
... the full height from your load floor to the ceiling -- 39" at its tallest. Overall usable height is less.

For what it's worth, the main limitation doesn't seem to be available cubic footage so much as the size and shape of the hatch and door openings. For example, I was able to load half-sheets of plywood (4'x4') into the back, but they wouldn't go in via the hatch; I had to load them through a rear door.

But as long as I don't try to pretend it's a pickup truck or a cargo van (or even an SUV), it does an admirable job.
