Let's put it this way: I had to look up Robert_Ludlum. He sounds like another Dan Brown.

I've been reading Gordon Duff for years. His bio:

When you start tracing back, looking for the root cause of everything, every intersection of American Foreign Policy with Middle Eastern politics results in a cascade of unintended consequences. That's a given: it's one of the two classic blunders. Most us us knew that going in, but this is a little more of a direct personal involvement in the actual blunder than I had realized. I wasn't just pumping fuel or guarding a FOB in the same war these guys got started in. I worked directly with some of them.
