Do you really need a JDM engine? Most Japanese cars have provision for AWD, so why not LS-swapping the hell out of it and converting to RWD?

Back on topic: besides legal aspects regarding emission compliance, do you really need a replacement engine right now? Or how would you expect a JDM to be an actual improvement over the US-spec one?

1999 Accord: 230,000 miles and consumed 3 quarts of oil and leaked 2 quarts of transmission fluid in 4,000 miles.

2000 Civic: Seriously needs me to fix the plastic bolt holes, install the third heater core, and reinstall the dash. The car has 220,000 miles, but ran and drove well besides the heater core and head gasket.

2002 Civic: 250,000 miles and a blown head gasket.

2004 Camry : Runs and drives well; doesn't seem to leak or consume anything excessively, but was totaled, has a restored salvage title, the hood and bumper don't match the rest of the car, and it probably wouldn't do as well in another accident.

The Accord needs a swap and perhaps the 2002 Civic.

Sounds like you need to put the 2000 Civic back together and sell 3 cars.

Arcimoto was doing demos at the 1 Moto show in Portland yesterday. UBCO and Zero were there with demos too.

It is 171 miles from Mom's house to my sister's through Payson, but it is shorter if I go through Globe and do an hour of canyon driving, without a passing lane, cell coverage, or a shoulder.

Buying an Archie would be like throwing a Molotov cocktail at my problems.

Does it need to be an engine identical to what applied to their model-years or could you pick something newer at a local junkyard?

I'd thought they have more range; but it's 100 miles city, 32 miles at 70mph. That wouldn't get to my brother's house.

Toyota started in 1934 using Chevy cranks, rods and pistons

The 41% efficient Dynamic Force engine has port or direct injection as needed. IDK how long they've been shipping.

[wut's with the thumbnail?]
