Is your laptop crippling you?!

Wait, what?

Xist, you need to make sense!

Aren't I supposed to be meeting an excessive number of deadlines?

Yes!

I made an effort and there is no way I am meeting those, although I should really submit what I have for the last deadline... 2.5 months ago.

You see, my wife went out of town early this morning, and I was up until 0130 finishing on the roughest of rough drafts for the deadline that was 2.5 months ago.

For some reason, missing every other deadline is the end of the world, but with my research project, my advisor yelled at me for a while, but apparently just gave up, but if I don't have everything finished early in April, I don't graduate... in September or whenever.

So, I finished that, but today was for working on the simulations I am doing after walking out of my clinical site, except I really wanted to get back to sleep after 3.5 hours, but I really couldn't get back to sleep... until after I picked up my brother's pizza.

Picking up pizza with deadlines?!

Delivery!

Bizarrely, I can normally get his pizza for $13, but with the best coupons I can find, that costs $20, and I waste a while trying different coupons.

I have tried some different coupon add-ons, but they rarely find better coupons than I do.

The thing is, Domino's has a coupon for large pizzas with up to 12 items for $10, so I ordered two.

Now we return to your original track, already in progress...

[further editing]

When I finish this simulation, I have one more, which is supposed to take 120 minutes, and another, which is supposed to take 75.

I regained consciousness at 2200, so it would be nearly impossible to complete those before midnight, I would still need to run out the clock for them to count, and the server is two hours ahead, so when I woke up, it said that I was late.

Having them at or above 90% should have been adequate, but if I managed to finish them before midnight, what was I going to do, have ChatGPT write the reports?!

Not if I want them to be any good!

So, once I stopped trying to work through my sleepiness, there didn't seem to be any chance of keeping deadlines, and when my wife's cat jumped on me, I watched a video while petting the cat.

I always wondered how tall this tall guy with dark hair and facial hair was and he finally mentions it, 6'5"!
He also has a 5'2" wife, but has a larger height difference.

I had seen his homemade laptop before and it took me a while to realize what the heck it was and then I kept wondering why it looked like that, and he finally explained.

Allegedly, working on a laptop physically hurts him, so he built a very complicated keyboard case for a tablet with the tablet mounted to some selfie sticks so he can look straight ahead: wait no. Still no. There it is! Bonus!

Yeah, my computer is crippling me. It's because I spend too much time on it watching silly videos about other computers.

Some days I want to just throw all my computers out, including the smartphone, and just go the library when I need the internet.

I don't know why anyone would want a laptop on a desktop for their primary workstation. For this reason and others.

What I have is computer the size of a deck of cards on a table next to a mouse and keyboard. The $35 Roku smart TV is mounted on a pole next to the table. Height adjustable within reason and it rotates from side to side depending on light reflections.

Next better would be the Raspberry Pi 500

That couple dismantled a TV and made it transparent: I thought that it would be cool to attach it to a window and a Pi or something and you could have a customizable stained-glass window.

Normally, my XPS works just fine.

Laptops are all right when necessary.
I have been interested in extra laptop screens.

I tend to ignore speech groups because they are basic women asking the same questions over and over.

Who just expects someone else to rescue them?

I only ask when I can't find the information on my own and half the time, people just respond "Google."
"As I mentioned, I tried."
"Google harder."
"Bless your heart."

Anyway, one time a basic woman asked what she needed when starting an SLP program, and people replied "A good laptop."

You need something reliable for 2 years, but good?

"Oh my gosh! I literally love my $2,000 Macbook!"
I hope that you love the computer that costs as much as a used car!
The last time I saw this discussion, people kept recommending a second monitor, with someone going as far as suggesting a third.

Just a green screen monochrome display. but the weight behind the ears makes for a good balance.
