164.48 mpg - 1.43 /100 - '08 Honda Innova 125 injection

Hi everyone, from few months I'm owner of '08 Honda Innova 125 injection (ANF125/WAVE). Just come back from a 2 day, 700 km, trip. Almost half at highway at 85-95 km/h, the rest curved roads between villages and mountains at 60-70 km/h. All this with 10 liters H95. That makes 10 liters / 700 km = 0.0142857 per kilometer x 100 = 1.4285 liters /100 km

Very nice results streetman. This type of bike was the selected choice of some Dutch ecomodders who are now working on a full fairing version of the ANF125
see next link.
Are you planning any modifications?

For now I don't plan modifications because is brand new and have 2 years warranty.

Very interesting link, I'll keep this info for later after warranty.

I think the closest we have is the 150.

2010 SH150i - Honda Powersports

But, it is a 'big' wheel scooter.

Yes, but at $4,500 MSRP, i could buy :

2 2003 ninja 250's

or

1 2003 Ninja 250 with all the riding gear, couples years worth of insurance, and a couple years of gas

Thats how i look at things

Lets not forget the sh150i has a automatic scooter transmission... the innova like the OP has is a manual.

That's crazy good mileage. I've managed around 110mpg with my Yamaha C3 and I thought that was pretty good. So, why is it that a much larger engine, on a bike going faster gets better mileage? Just better gearing? (After all, mine is a CVT, so I can't coast or shift gears strategically). Funny how you got much better mileage than my 49cc, though.

I checked out that Dutch site and it really makes me wonder if I could pull something similar off for my C3. Since you can get 110mpg driving not-so-carefully (I drive near the 60km/hr limit of my bike) barebones stock, I would imagine it has some real potential.

I'm absolutely convinced, the powers at be, here in the US, don't want people to have vehicles that get good mileage. Usually disguised as a safety regulation or some other BS.

There is one man in Germany who redesign his Innova to Recumbent motorcycle. He achieve great results 1,1 liters per 100 km

Yesterday I've made 70 km with 1,2 litters ;)
