1946 Chevy Hybrid Truck
Hey folks, I'm currently building a 1946 Chevy truck with a 2001 Toyota Prius drive train. I started the project December of 2016. I'm getting close to having it on the road. I'd like to daily drive it this summer. I'm going to try to start sharing pictures as soon as I can figure out how to upload them.

Sounds like a sweet ride! Welcome. 5 posts and you can upload photos, which im dying to see!

I want to see this, too! My wife and I love those old stepside pickups, but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. That, and the fuel economy can't be great in stock trim. :D

Hybrids are not my cup of tea at all, and such a switch from a RWD platform to FWD is quite an extreme move, but I'm curious to see how you're managing to do it. What are your plans for the interior trim? Are you attempting to make it look more old-school or willing to give it a hi-tech approach?

I'm with you.
Everything I've built has been rwd. I typically build stuff from a older era. 40s 50s 60s. I like odd ball stuff. Last car was a 1958 Wartburg 311 camping limousine. I put a TBI small block in it. This time I wanted to focus on fuel economy. I'd like to get 40+ mpg. My plan for the interior is as stock as possible. I really want to preserve the look of the old truck.
