1999 Civic Grill block up mod

Took some of that coroplast that every one talks about using and basically used
the factory grill as a hold and wire tied the fitted piece in place. I could have done better but for my first time, I think it came out well

Way to get started.

City mods... how about some weight reduction? Tire pressure? Block heater? ScanGauge or MPGuino (driving technique is going to net you the biggest gains in city driving).

If you want to camouflage your rattle-canned pieces well, I recommend Flat Black Rustoleum Professional High Performance Enamel. It goes on well, isn't runny, and a good coat looks fantastic. It's what I painted my grille block and body kit with: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...oday-3444.html

I'd seriously think about refining your driving style more. Your car is more than capable of 40+ mpg without any mods at all. Driving style changes are free and can also make you a safer driver.

I agree. Mine is a DX, but I'm getting great mileage with nothing more than a grill block and a Scangauge. Otherwise it's stock.

Maybe take the rear spoiler off. You can also cover the fake vents on the front bumper. I have been playing with that, but the jury is still out.

BTW, I get around 40mph or slighter higher on my 2000 Honda Civic VP. So I know your car should get similar since they are almost the same.

i drive slow

I drive around 20-40 mph in high gear never going more than 2200 rpm so how can I drive more slowly... If I remove the wing any ideas how to seal the holes that will remain in the trunk. I want to get higher mpg? I have switch back to the stock air filter too, and put the K & N away.
