Unhappy Starting Problems Geo Tracker 1990

I have this weird problem with my Geo Tracker 1990 4 cylinder manual 4 wheel drive EFI. It starts most of the time like 9 out of 10 times and run pretty good get about 28 mpg. BUT, every once in a while it won't start. The motor turns over but doesn't start. I wait for a while 15-30 minutes and it starts right up like nothing happened. I have had the fuel filter changed and put in SeaFoam in the gas tank in case there was some moisture or bad gas and yet it still does this aggravating business of not starting. Any suggestions?

You may want to check the following:

1. Fuel pump relay.
2. Ignitor / halls effect sensor pickup in the distributor.
3. Negative grounds for the ECU

how many miles on it if over 100000 and unexplained stalling or no start always suspect fuel pump always and dont spend alot of $ on other stuff until you replace it (yourself if possible)

The "90" GEO TRACKER has over a 140,000 miles ! Hmmm! Fuel pump could be doing this? I thought if the fuel pump went out it went out for ever well maybe not EH? Where is the fuel pump? I hope it isn't in the fuel tank that is pain in the rumus-bumpus to replace. So where is the pump located ?

Of course I'll have to have someone else replace it as I don't know about such things and have no place to work or tools. I sure hope that replacing the fuel pump fixes the problem because this is so aggravating.
