$70 OBD2 MPG Meter

Auto Meter 9100 - Auto Meter Ecometer Digital Gauges

.... I'm not certain that this hasn't been seen by many others, but I just caught a glimpse of this on the latest summitracing flyer.

Total cost for this is, assuming summit hasn't changed their shipping price policy, just under $80 to get it delivered to you; neato.

I already spent the $100+ for the plx kiwi... but i still like the look of the above listed one.

I like the looks also, but it can't match the feature set of the SG.

How is the PLX working out for you? I was very tempted to try one out, does it only offer a MPG instantaneous guage or does it have anything else?

Thanx

I finally found it on Auto-Meter's site:

The PLX Kiwi has all sorts of features, and supposedly includes a code reader...
The Kiwi Manual
I haven't had/taken the time to mess with all of the features so I'm not too knowledgeable about all of that. I've a 4-hour trip(1-way) ahead of me this weekend, and during some of the driving I'd like to find out more about the various functions.
It is pretty much plug-n-play, but I noticed that the vehicle has to be on when you go to plug it in and turn on, or else it will error... after its plugged in and the vehicle is off, it will go to 'sleep'.

Don't forget to poke around for used devices if you're on the market. I got a SG-I for $51 on eBay :D.

I recently watched a SGII in "like new" condition go for $120... not cheap enough for starving students!

What about the PLX kiwi MPG?

Here it is on amazon:

I wish I could pull that off, I have never noticed a SG-I on ebay.

i bought my kiwi mpg about three weeks ago finally got to messing with it ....it takes about ten minutes to install and learn it theres only two buttons on it to do everything ....dont buy it on plx's site go on ebay you will save @ least 25.00 its around 86.99 with free shipping plx got me for 89.99 and 14.00 s/h!

I bought one and it is wildly inaccurate. It is more of a random number generator than an MPG gauge. I would buy the SGII if I could do it all over again.
