92 civic vx vss?
 

Setting up MPGuino and cant seem to get vss signal. I tapped from the unit itself. With the ignition on its 12 v at rest. According to my haines manual its a blue and yellow wire. I get no no speed measurement at all. checked and rechecked the wires. Not sure what I did wrong. I guess I could tap from the ECU, but at the time the sensor seemed easier. The Injector connection seems to work just fine.

No need to tap VSS at the ECU. Tap it near the steering wheel.

You should also verify your VSS signal. Turn ignition On, put the gear in Neutral, and roll the car a few feet back and forth. VSS should toggle between 0v and 5v (not 12v) as the front wheel rolls.

On my civic, I had to use a smaller resistor (try 30k ohms), because 100k made the 0-5v change undetectable by the Guino. If the resistor is too low (like 1k), it messes up the speedo.

Got it working seems that I was on the 12v supply to the vss. I read the schematic wrong as the blue/yellow wire output to VSS not the signal back to the ECU. Now on to the calibration. Thanks for your help.

By the way the signal is fine out at the sensor. Maybe the vss at the instrument panel is 0-5v but its not that way at the sensor.
