Unique Jet shaped car/bike

Driving around the other say I spotted a very cool looking home made car. It looks like a jet car with training wheels. I was able to snap 2 pictures, front and side view.

A few years ago I saw a small single person car/trike that really was based off a very very small jet air plane cockpit, it seamed like a great idea, go to an aircraft salvage yard and buy a cockpit, at that point you have doors, seats, wind shield and a lot of structure.

Actually that jet like car isn't homemade. Some company made about 100 of them. The tail fins look to be custom though.

The real question here: why is the car behind it in the first picture sitting crossways of the road?

Thanks for the name on it. I've lived around that area for the past 20 years and never seen it. I figured it had to be a creation from someones garage. It appears there are actually 2 in the area I lived according to that website.
