Hi guys I'm new to the site,but been reading for a couple weeks on here. Im in the process of selling my gas hog 4x4 blazer for pretty much ANYTHING better on gas. Pretty much anything 20+ in town... Anyway! As I'm looking for cars i keep coming to this site to see what people have done to that kind of vehicle and what difference its made. I'm not finding alot of pictures for certain cars. So would anyone be willing to post pictures of whatever car you have your aero mods on and saying what difference its made? It be cool to see many different kind of vehicles all in one post. Thanks guys! :D

We tend to be doing aero mods on cars that already get decent mileage. The principles of aerodynamics are universal, so for any given type of car, the mods that have the most benefit are more or less the same.

Get anything with a 4 cylinder and a stick.
Decent mileage guarantee.

And with tall gearing for it to take the fullest advantage of the aero mod's drag reduction.

Don't forget driving style Will make the biggest difference #!

A real Ecomodder would push the Blazer to 20 mpg around town and be done. Convert to 2wd, slam it and drop in a TDI/6-speed. That ought to do it. :thumbup:

Somewhere in your town, someone has a very nice, suitable car but they have problems (marriage gone bad or whatever) and they need to raise some cash quick. Find that person. Don't look for just anything. Define your use case. What's suitable for a commuter may not be for hauling materials from the home building center.

Wow! Things have been crazy I haven't a chance to reply! Well thanks for suggestions.I had a s10 blazer not full size. Ended up getting a 92 Taurus. So far I've gotten 26mpg mixed driving.and that's before I started driving more eco friendly. I would have liked a smaller car but it runs good and fits the family well. Plan on driving better wheel skirts and lip. Not sure how to make smooth wheel covers cuz I have rims not steelies

A modded brick is still a brick. Getting 20 mpg out of my Xterra was nearly impossible and not worth it.
