air pressure, front and back
most vehicles recommend running the rear tires a couple of psi lower than the front. when you run the max psi, do you run it all the way around, or run the back a few psi lower?
|
I run the same pressures because I like my cars to oversteer. If you use OEM pressure distribution car will most likely understeer which is safer for average driver... You can find that out with testing which works well for you.

With max. sidewall pressure all around, and a lot of weight removed from the trunk, the rear got a bit bouncy, so I'll back off the rear pressures a bit. For MOT, I'll have to take the pressures down to spec, as it nearly failed the bouncing test last year. |
Yes for MOT I always lower the pressures to 2.0 bars on each corner. Specially with older vehicles that is very important thing. It might show failure even the shocks being ok. Its same with other stiff aftermarket suspensions that the test might fail even the suspension would be new!

I run 43 (nitro) on all four corners and have no problem, but the the Q45 Sport was an electronicly adjusting suspension.
