Has anyone tried this thing? Is it a trap ?

Scam kind of, but it is honest saying that it will save you money, if you turn your themostat down and use it to heat the room your in. But any $20 electric resistant heater does the same with the same efficiency, 100%. Put the biggest incadesent light bulbs in your house you can and get the same efficiency. 0.09 cents per hour is about what 1 KWh cost, actually little less on my bill at 0.12, same at 10 100 watt light bulbs on for an hour, and you'll get the same amount of heat.

Problem is unless you have resistant heating of the whole house, almost all other fuels are cheaper per KWH or Btu. Close off the ducts in the rooms you aren't using, turn the t'stat down to 60 degree, put on a sweatshirt and toughen up.

Our wood stove got it up to 63 in my living room last night and my 10 yo & myself could sleep as it was too hot.

They are most likely built by Amish that used to work in one of the big RV factories that have closed up due to rising gas prices.

But the bottom line is, it's an electric space heater with good marketing behind it and a wood case around it.

So you don't think those Amish have figured out how to harness the resonance of neutrons ?
I thought maybe it got "free energy" from hope & change or something.

I figured it was a trap.
Got the junk ads in my mail today.

The heater it's self is made in China, the piece of wood that is glued on top is milled in a factory in an area with Amish and high unemployment because their religiousness beliefs don't keep them from taking a job and it's not really a trap or a trick, it does produce heat and if you turn your thermostat down in the rest of your house it will save you money, in the same way that turning your thermostat down and turning on an electric heater that is set next to your feet always does.

Anybody else amused by the irony of an Amish electric heater?:D

What's next? Kosher pork?
