Prius Plug-in and Nissan Leaf from Oregon

Hello, I live in Oregon and am very excited about the community here! Recently bought a 2017 Nissan Leaf and 2013 Prius plug-in, and I’ve been trying to maximize MPG, mostly with better driving techniques.

As far as planned mods, I’d like to tint the Prius windows, and I’m researching construction of a boat tail and rear wheel skirts for both cars. Will remove rear wiper from the Prius but it’s not a concern on the leaf.

Eventually will do a mirror delete for both cars. Can’t think of anything else I want to change, but open to suggestions! Also would love to meet with others in the Portland or Salem areas!

Welcome.

I had a 2012 PIP, and only went as far as removing the rear wiper, which I never used. I had also installed a receiver hitch for towing a jet ski and a 4x8 trailer. There wasn't much in the way of driving habits that could improve or reduce efficiency. My wife got nearly as good of fuel economy driving as I did.

In the summer I'd get ~16 miles of range, and in the winter ~11.
