Audi A2 1.4 TDI power beast
I write short description also here what is going on with this car in my garage. Target fuel consumption for this car is 3 l/100km @ 100 km/h speed. Car is pretty close already as you can see from the calculation at the end.
- It has 1.4 TDI 90 hp versio, but I have tuned it to 130 HP with my own ecu program. - I have changed 6 speed MYP gearbox - Installed grill block - Installed Tunecover hubcaps - Optimised engine torsion value https://ecomodder.com/forum/tool-aer...ToStep=5-200-5 |
Veru cool project again.
What did you do with the tune? |

With yearly inspections here, any real mod would need to be removable, and need to be removed / reinstalled every year :( |
IIRC he's an engineer, so it's easier for him to go through the certification process for such mods.

No way you could get these on the road here, even as an automotive engineer.

What software do you ise for tuning. I plan on getting a vagcom but the logging speed is not the greatest. It is approx 1.5 secs.
Also i cannot change the parameters with vagcom. |
wish we had those state-side.

Very impressive as usual Vekke.

For the ecu edc 15 I have vag edc suite:
- put max boost to all injection levels, meaning I have driven sweeps for all injection levels and rpm range, takes really long time. Aka the full map is redone to much more leaner. First I tested is more boost better or worse and more boost is more efficienct. - same sweeps for injection advance - same sweeps for engine torsion value aka cam timing For the test there was a test ecu program that inject same amount of fuel when pedal is floored. Then I had test distance where I measured time for that distance and also marked highest and lowest speeds. Test was done to both directions and summed together. This test method has proved to be quite good and reliable for testing even smallest differences like aero mods or changing tires etc. For monitoring parameters I am using ross tech VAG com cable |
