Greetings from upstate NY

Good moring,
A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this site. Looks like some good info and reading. I've recently sold my 1996 Civic LX to a friend and picked up a 2008 Civic Si. Not sure how well that fits here, but I've always been able to squeeze some good mileage out of my vehicles (Land Rovers excepted of course).

I've only had a few tankfuls on the Si, but I'm getting 35 or so right now, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Thanks,
Matthew

Welcome to the site bogatyr. What are you doing to achieve 35 mpg? It seems descent for the Si, but I think much more is possible from the car (40+).

Daox,
Thanks for the welcome.

Yep, I'm hoping for a little more mileage wise, but please keep in mind that she's only got 2600 miles on her. I should be able to bump that up a little more once she's fully broken in.

As far as getting that mileage, I'm pretty much following the methods I've always used, conservation of momentum, using the highest gear possible for the situation etc.

But, being an Si, I did have a little fun with her last weekend in the Catskills on route 23, nice twisties and a 6 speed box make for good times.

Thanks,
Matthew
