Best MPG with EOC & without EOC
 

Please post your car model, transmission, modification, best MPG with EOC & without EOC.

Hi,

My best tankful (so far) is 46.69mpg -- I don't "do" EOC, so I can't help you there.

Oh, I forgot to post my own information.
2004 xB, manual, no mod, Best 40.17mpg never EOC.

Hi! Best tank with some EOC was 49.75 (it was after a trip, I wasn't on empty so I guess it could be considered best "trip"). Best tank without EOC would be 43ish but these tanks were not nearly identical so it's hard to compare. EOC gains me most on my commute to and from work, 28 miles, I can eoc about 4 miles or so of the commute and it nets me 5-8mpg depending on the day and traffic.

Best mpg without: 55, with: *shrug* Don't use it much

Best tank average: 66.6 mpg with eoc
Best single trip: 79.2 mpg with eoc

without eoc: I have no idea. ;)

Coasting experiment: engine off VS. engine idling

Results ...

• Lap 1: engine OFF while coasting - 60.3 mpg (US) ... 3.9 L/100 km ... 72.4 mpg (Imperial); elapsed time 17:57

• Lap 2: engine idling while coasting - 53.4 mpg (US) ... 4.4 L/100 km ... 64.1 mpg (Imperial); elapsed time 17:44

Toyota Tacoma truck, W59 transmission, modifications (none)
Best EOC 34mpg
Best NON EOC 30mpg

2004 Vibe Automatic

Best tank without EOC - 44mpg
Best tank with EOC - 49mpg

can I ask why some of you guys don't use EOC?
