Blackout or leave raw-Mazda CX-5 skirt brace

I can't decide which would be better. Do I leave the skirt brace raw aluminum or black it out to conform to the rest of the trim style? I painted the brackets with hard bed liner from rattle can in the back. It give a decent wrinkled finish that would be close to the arch style. What do you guy think?

I vote black for a more finished look.

It's interesting to see the clear wheel skirt, has it become more dirty on the inside over time?

I say that you paint or plasti-dip it to match the tire, but leave the part over your rim bare. :)

Match the car's paint.

It gets dirty almost instantly when raining. The wheel covers are gradually dirty over about a month if it's not raining much.

Always liked zoom-zoom design. Body color paint. http://i.imgur.com/r81SOZ0.jpg

I vote for the whole thing black.

Ditto. Blackout is my vote.

Its much easier to put the brackets on first to be able to see through the material to line up to the complex fender curves to drill and mount from top to bottom. The lip depth changes a lot so most of the brackets are sized specifically for a certain location. They slide onto the lip near where the plastic lip is mounted to the car to reduce vibrations and sag. I'll need to modify the brackets for a set screw since I've already had FAIL on the front skirts sliding in unison into the well after catching on the tire. There isn't any room to have a bolt and nut clamp setup.
