Body shop cannot fix footprints in car roof.
 

My brother is 6'1", 31 years old, weighs 230 pounds, and has autism. Some pine needles on the roof of the house have been picking on him, so he has been climbing on my car, then into the roof to toss off the needles.

I was fixing something else when I saw dents in the roof of my car. I went to three body shops and they said they could not fix it, the Bondo would pop out.

Bondo?!

She says I can drop the headliner and try to knock it out.

My fist hurts from punching the headliner. So far so good.

Tornado brought garage down upon Grandpa's Dynasty, caving the roof in. I got in the back seat area on all fours and popped it up with my back flat against the roof; didn't hurt the headliner at all.

Once there's a kink in the metal you are kind of S.O.L. as far as easy fixes. There are old school methods of shrinking metal that should allow for a quality fix, not that body shops today want to put any time into it.

Cut it out and install a moonroof. I did that to my hail-damaged Sport Coupe, largely taking care of the dimples.

I probably wouldn't bother with it. Drive it till the wheels fall off.

EDIT: What about one of those suction cup devices? Perhaps worth a shot and it's cheap. Won't make it perfect, but maybe less bad?

Similar thing happened to my parents' now 10 year old Civic (hateful hybrid version). My dad wanted advice on where to get it fixed and I convinced him not to spend the money.

The local tech school that teaches auto body repair might take it on for the cost of materials.

If the MPG and functionality haven't been reduced, keep on trucking.

Park farther away from the house!

I am now parking my Civic on the edge of the driveway and the Accord next to her on the gravel. If I ever finish organizing the garage I may one day be able to park inside, but for now it is reserved for Mom's 2008 Camry, which we need to maneuver around my Civic.

I was able to partially pull some dents in my fender, but then it was damaged further, and I replaced it. I started using this on my roof and am making progress, but one challenge is that I do not have anywhere to set the feet without creating new dents.

Thanks for reminding me about that. I've got three dents on the left side of the Dasher, and some shallow waves in the roof.

I want to do 'paintless' dent removal to not smudge the patina.

I wish that were more common; I called the local community college to get a quote on a timing belt replacement and they told me they stopped taking cars from the public years ago :(
