This has a real interior, while a Tesla has a hospital waiting room with a TV.

The forward trunk--fork--only holds the charge handle.

The trunk floor flips up to secure groceries and stuff and the entire thing flips up for even more storage, because why have a spare tire?

They notched the battery pack for the rear passengers' feet and made a transmission tunnel just for more batteries--not for the transmission, which they didn't include.

This seems like a version of the Volvo C40 without usable cupholders or a trash can.

I just keep a bag on my shifter, but I don't have a center console the size of a kitchen garbage can.

It has Android Automotive, but not Android Auto, which is different.

"There is a wireless charging pad if you barely want it to charge, but get really hot."

He can't figure out how to leave the AC running when he steps out for pets or passengers. His best solution so far is to leave his fob and tell the passenger to lean on the driver's seat.

He has hardware for some features and controls for other features, but not those features.

Four buttons in his center console aren't buttons, they are capacitive touch sensors underlined by load sensors that provide haptic feedback.

"In other words, they're simulated buttons. Polestar, what is wrong with real buttons?! They don't work with gloves, they are much more complicated, and the haptic feedback is terrible! Why?!"

It has two range estimates that disagree and it only gives you 10-mile increments until you have 100 miles or less and then it gives you 5-mile increments.

I want to pull the center console from my old Camry and install it in my current one.

It has an extra cupholder!

Maybe he will do something like that once the warranty runs out and he has driven 18,000 miles in 5 months.

That would take me closer to 5 years.

Publisher's Clearinghouse will give someone else at least $1M on Halloween. If I won I would try to convince Mom to move to San Diego for her health. Do I want to pay $6 for gas? I would rather buy a Bolt.

Google says the Bolt starts at $31,500. I think that it is weird that computer nerds got into car reviews, but I have only seen them do EVs, which makes more sense. I watched Linus Tech Tips' opinion. They drove a $50,000 version, which they said was almost as much as an Ioniq EV, so why not buy one of those?

The Bolt also doesn't have fast charging. It takes 133 minutes to charge.

The Leaf starts at $28,495--10% less.

That isn't impressively cheap.

The 149-mile range isn't impressive, either.

For $33,495 you can get more power and a 226-mile range.

I think you can upgrade the battery without buying the more expensive motor, but it still costs more than the Bolt, while having a shorter range.

It has fast charging, But Chademo, which is outdated, although so is slow charging.

The Mini is $30,750, but only has a 114-mile range, and Car and Driver rated it 6/10.

The Mazda MX-30 is $34,695, is only rated for 100 miles, and is also rated 6/10.

For some reason Car and Driver then lists the Bolt and the Bolt EUV, which are cheaper, but this is supposed to ranked by least expensive.

The Hyundai Kona goes for $35,295, but only in 12 states. It is rated for 258 miles, while the Nero is only supposed to make 239, but they only got 160 miles in their test, while the Nero went 210 miles.

The Nero starts at $41,285, basically $10,000 more than the Bolt!

It is rated for 239 miles, while the Bolt is supposed to go 260.

Is it me or do all of these have tradeoffs?

The F-150 Lightning starts at $41,769.

Have we ever seen an aerocap on an EV?

They rate the Ioniq the highest; 220 miles of range for $41,245.

Again, it is cheaper than the previous EV, and these are supposed to be ranked by price.

Now let me see if I can find that article about that cutting-edge 8-year old supercar EV that runs on some proprietary juice.

I am pretty sure that electricity is available more places than gasoline, but you may need to get a hotel room while it charges!
