Vibe Mileage Dropping

Well as some of you know I am trading in the Vibe. As part of this ritual I needed to return the vehicle to its stock condition, no matter how well it was doing MPG wise. Therefore I thought it would be cool to see my mileage drop as I made the vehicle stock again. Here are my findings;

With:
-Interior Back in
-Roof Rack back on
-Mirror back on
-Wiper back on
-And OEM hub caps

3 mpg loss ... I have gone from 41mpg to 38mpg, while still having the front end on. I plan to register 1 tank completely stock and I'll know what if anything the "Mandibles" did for me ...

I will also know definitively how much over epa one can get a completely stock Vibe ...

Plus with all the practice I will be able to register some stock hypermiled tanks for the Scion xD, manual, which will finally be its replacement.

I think it's mostly because your Vibe is depressed that you're selling it.

Well 2 tanks registered with all equipment back on except for the front bumper and holding steady @ 38mpg. So I guess we can call this as a 3 mpg loss and a tremendous kudos for getting 38mpg in a stock automatic Vibe.

Yes after alot of discussion and bouncing around with the wifey, I am trading for a 2008 Scion xD, manual. Here is a stock shot of one.

It comes lowered from factory 1.5" all the way around. So my first mod will be moon disc covers for the 16" rims ...

Yeah they are greatly underestimated little cars ... I love it and can't wait.

1.8l corolla motor plus all the safety features found in a camry for less than a yaris ... unbeatable in my book.
