Bumper Air Dam and tray underneath Car

OK so I have a 1997 Ford Aspire, and I wanna do a back and fronter bumper air damn and put what I think they call a belly pan or tray .. the part where you cover the underneath of you car , now I'm not one to let my car look a lil sloppy so I dont just wanna use some random plastic and have it look like crap, what would you recomend i I use ? and do you have any advice or instructions so I do it right the first time? :) Im no proffessional but Im a quick learner. I'm looking to improve my MPG yet still remain having a nice car.

I think lawn edging looks pretty good. You could also use coroplast and paint w the same color as the car, these are the most comon options. Also you could make a plug and cover it with fiberglass. This would look the best in my opinion as long as it was well done,. Check out the other threads in this section, lots of ideas.

Done properly, lawn edging doesn't look bad at all. It can almost appear to be OEM quality from 10-15 feet away.

Belly pan, go cheap. Nobody's going to see it, and the more work you put into it, the more you'll be irritated when it gets damaged from road debris.

A rear air dam isn't necessary. You'll be better off just connecting the rear section of the belly pan to the lower lip of the rear bumper. Since there's a chance people will see this part, you can make it from a sheet of ABS or black coroplast, or if you can find an aluminum sheet, that will also work.

look at the 3 links in my signature.
I have an Infiniti Q45 w/ IMPUL body kit and I too want things to look proffessional.

Coroplast for the belly pan. I used coroplast for the air dam too but it doesn't look very pretty. Some people have reinforced the belly pan with flat metal bars.

I picked up some polycarbonate in clear today. I will post how I am making my airdam.
