Pretty cool. I am glad they are already repackaging the Volt drivetrain into different concept cars. I noticed this in the article regarding solar panels (of a different car) :

Converj: The 'Cadillac' of Electric Cars

More carmakers are incorporating roof-mounted solar panels as a way to improve their vehicle's fuel efficiency. By using solar-generated electric power to run cooling fans, Fisker estimates it can reduce cabin temperatures in its Karma sedan by 25 degrees on a warm, summer day. The means less power drain on its battery pack to help cool down the cabin, which translates into an additional one mile per gallon in fuel savings.
Since the new Prius offers solar panel fan-cooling, I wonder what the MPG gain estimate is from Toyota?

Hello,

They are using cameras in place of the side mirrors -- lets hope that this becomes possible under the law.

Cameras don't fit well with the K.I.S.S. principle...
