Yes and it depends: How well do you know your car?
I can drive 40 km safely after the BC says there is no drop left in the tank. That's 200 km after the 'fuel warning' light went on. After that I can refuel 44 liters in the 45-liter tank.

note: pushing boundaries can be fun, but it is also risky ;-)

Well it did end up going over 1Mm and got me the hypermiler stamp, missed the top 10 list by one spot tho.
