Is this the correct way to mod the metro intake?

is it better to have the intake tubel installed or no? I know theres a lot of Geo enthusiasts here that can give me tip

I have mine removed exactly like the picture. Not 100% sure, but it seemed to help with fuel economy/power.

If I owned a metro I would have mine setup like that. It will suck in sightly warmer air and will give slightly higher mpg (in theory).

I also removed the tube section that goes into the inner fender since I will never use it again and there will never be a 3rd owner!

if you don't believe in physics then it should work great to pull that tube off, otherwise crack open a book on air intake design and see what they have to say about short air intakes.

I don't have a book on Air Intake Design handy... what do they say ?? :confused:
