I like the color matched look

They look really good, especially with the color matching, which is of course period correct. I'm not sure why you have black tape over the front end but I like how it separates the bodywork from the fender. You might think of doing a similar graphic breakup on the rear end. Plasti-dip the hood bulge and color-match that white grille block and it will be some sort of ecomodding Transformer!

I think the black tape is there to seal the gap between the headlamps/fenders and the bumper.
