Casey Putsch's Omega Sports Car

Here are the known specs from the videos and comments below the videos:

*900 kg mass
*1.9L VW TDI 4-cylinder engine
*75 mpg achieved on first drive including hard accelerations and burnouts, with a goal of 100+ mpg
*0-60 mph under 5 seconds

A very impressive little car, on the whole:

It reminds me of the VW XL1 Sport. I watched half the videos but I didn't learn anything about that keyhole slot on the front.

90Kg = 1984.16lb. About the same as my Superbeetle.

At the 17:20 mark (first video), the puff of black smoke................taking me back to my 1986 VW Golf Diesel days.

I like what he talks about, the energy it takes to keep one's vision alive. Something I've had to face on many projects, both large and small.

Yea, I find it a little disturbing/disruptive and it demands an explanation.

I did not look super close, but the rear might qualify as a box cavity.

EDIT: second video at 14:00 mark talks about the tail.

OMEGA

She reminds me of Western Washington University's Viking series of high-mpg experimentals.https://www.google.com/search?q=West...ih=717&dpr=1.1
