How to haul bike with car, no tow hook and "high" roof

Any tips how to transport a bicycle, the car has no tow hook(and not goint to install one)
It has got roof racks, just that the roof is a bit high for a daily basis loading-offloading.
It would fit inside the car BUT i'm carrying them kiddy seats so can't fold the backseats.

Had an idea of doing my commute the "park and ride"- style, just cant figure a smart&fast way to bring the bike along
Has anyone made any "quick racks"? For example couple of ropes with hooks strapped to the racks and the bike hanging in the backside...
A bit messy post, sorry for that

They make crappy trunk racks that strap on. I'd give you mine if you lived nearby.

If you are loading a bike daily, then it's dumb to rule out installing a hitch. A hitch is the best way to mount a bike, and it doesn't cost much. Often about $125 or so, and they are super easy to install (typically 4 bolts).

I use my hitch all the time for transporting bikes, hauling a trailer, and just recently I towed a stranded vehicle off the freeway and into a parking lot.

Forgot to mention, the car is a yaris verso, so it's a wagon/minivan type so that kind of rack won't fit it...
The tow hook needs to be a removable because of the low reaching door and that's expensive here.
Otherwise it would be either blocking the door or the possible trailer would "hang low"

How about this? https://www.thule.com/fi-fi/fi/bike-rack

It is Thule, but there has to be something similar and cheaper.

The trunk racks like redpoint5 posted actually fit most SUVs and vans, so they might work for your car.

I found this on Google images, looks like it was made for your car. https://paulchensystem.net/products/...ris-verso.html

I have used a trunk type rack for several years with much success both on a sedan and a van. If you cannot buy one make your own.

Okay, thanks for the tips. I think i will be doing some sort of rack myself, how hard can it be?
Just because almost every rack for sale is way overpriced for my taste. For something that is just a couple of tubes&straps.

... and DOT approval confirmation and associated documents.

At least in my country you risk your title/driving license with homemade rack without testing. Check your local laws first.

Need to check on that...i doubt any problems would come with the authorities as long as tail lights&license plate are visible and no sharp edges or pointy things stick out

Guess i'll have to man up and transport the bike on the roof

Seconded. These adjust to fit vans. I use one on my civic but also on a minivan.
