Tesla Model 3 & Polydrops trailer: 255Wh/mi

https://ecomodder.com/forum/member-a...ed-micro-r.jpgI posted this at the fossil free forum, but it's also 'aerodynamic,' so here goes
https://insideevs.com/news/565764/te...lydrops-p17a1/
If you'll scroll down the article, you'll find a CFD of the Model with Polydrops and a 'teardrop' ( in name only ).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
255 Wh/mile is almost 118-mpg-e.
'EVs CAN TOW,' one just needs to mind the trailer they hitch to.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be curious to attach a 'poly-tadpole' to the Model 3

That's an interesting trailer. It's a three dimensional shape rather than the two dimensiional teardrop. With the longitudinal edges of the Cybertruck plus additional taper in plan.

OTOH I estimate the teardrop has a higher roof, with more interior headroom; and thus more frontl area.

edit: From the same wesite, a teardrop with some tumblehome, built for EV living.

It's comforting to see some individuals 'waking up' to the implications of trailer shapes, range extending, and stand-alone camping.
It's only taken a hundred years.
