Dragshield
I came across this while looking to improve my truck's aerodynamics. Can't find anyone that manufactures this commercially. Perhaps he couldn't get it off the ground and get funding to mass-produce them. Has anyone tried this setup? By the looks of the tests he performed it definitely has potential and would be a more practical solution for truck owners that need their bed space VS. an aerocap.
Can't post links yet so google Dragshield Let me know your thoughts and if anyone has tried such a mod on their truck |

Thanks for posting the link

Their claims of 14% improvement in mileage seem a bit far fetched but I would not rule out an improvement in drag reduction.

'Dragshield'
It's inventor is our inactive member Brett Herndon ( aka 'Bondo') , a master clay modeler, of Little Rock, Arkansas, creator ( and Patent-holder ) of "Aerolid' and 'AeroTail,' both wind tunnel tested.
I suppose Brett has a means to back up his claim, which may involve caveats, as aerodynamic appliances often do. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The device IS a box-cavity, relieved at the bottom, to allow the tonneau cover to be opened and tilted, without colliding with 'Dragshield.' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the early 1990s, member AeroStealth fabricated a plywood device, very similar, of which I participated in flow and mpg analysis. That dog 'll hunt!:) |

You know whats wild? A guy from Arkansas donated an aerodynamic model to Ford. But no kidding the back end of the most recent Ford GT looks like that model lol |
