Ecomodder sayings you repeat often
 

Interested in sayings you guys & gals often repeat to people whether you are educating them on hypermiling or just something you like to say to people to share how you save frogskins when it comes to operating your vehicle.

For example
I often tell people "Every little modification adds up & saves gas"

or

"I dont care how it looks it saves me gas"

"It is my hobby and it saves me money. What does your hobby yield?"

"The best fuel is the stuff that stays in the pump"

Great idea!

"It's not only the modifications on the car that help; a significant portion of the savings comes from changes in how I drive. You can do it too!"

Coast (or engine brake) to the red light to save gas (or your brake pads)

The light's red, and it's not going anywhere. I could see rushing like that to a light that's still green...

Look ahead look ahead look ahead look ahead....

That's also my mantra to myself on the track. :)

Another one I tell folks:
"It's not just driving slower, it's driving more intelligently."

In city traffic, when I get vigorously passed I always say...."and I'll see you at the next traffic light"

"Adjust the nut behind the wheel"

One saying that did not make sense to me at first was "braking wastes fuel".
