Elio better get going...
...because Toyota will have their tilt-leaning 'full-body helmet' i-Road in production.
Gas 2 | What is the future of fuel? What's new? What's next? Since 2007, Gas 2 has covered a rapidly changing world coming to terms with its oil addiction. |
I'll worry about the Toyotas when I see them in the dealer lots.

IIRC, these Toyota seem to answer a new japanese law like the Kei car one but they are presented with a very low top speed, something like 35 mph when a Renault Twizy offer a 55 mph ability (and it's already on the street too)

I don't see how this could even compare to the Elio.

That seems perfect for Toyota City, going into town, maybe light city commuting (if you can't afford a bicycle?) while Elio seems like a car alternative.
|
If Elio does produce their vehicle for $6500 it will be a miracle.
I don't think any of the large auto makes would even consider getting into the market if Elio was successful. |
"as a car-sharing program in Toyota City." In other words, not really "production". I'll believe it when I see one for sale here. Same with elio. Nice idea, but I have major doubts it'll ever get off the ground. See Aptera.
