using **** oil with an additive... better mileage but that may just be because this new engine needed a good flush. we'll see if it keeps up.

Well, the Scanguage told me 18.5... but it was also off by 10 miles or so and 1.5 gallons. I don't know how it got off like that, but hopefully this next tank will improve.

Either way, this is awesome so far!

Started from Spring (North side of Houston) and drove down I45 to 610 (loop). Went around the west side of the loop, up 45 to north side of 610, then went around the east side of the loop, then hopped back on 45 and drove back to spring.

Maintained cruise control speed of 60mph the entire time except for when I had to slow down to merge onto 45 from eastbound southside 610. Really weird merging...

This does show me, though, how much of a difference going slower can really make. It's quite impressive.

I used .045 more gallons than my last fill and got an additional 39 miles.

Okay, for 70 of these miles I was extremely rushed trying to get to downtown Houston at a specific time so I drove like absolute ****. After that trip, though, I installed my new passengers side wheel bearing and then filled up. Installing the drivers side tomorrow morning and then hopefully we'll be able to see some decent improvement in MPGs on my next fill up.

Also, I added an oil additive upon fill up. I'll drive about 750-1000 more miles on this oil then change my oil and add engine restorer (4 bucks at walmart and 4.5 stars on amazon. might as well give it a shot) so after that maybe it'll improve.

Doing a TON of work on the blazer this coming weekend/week. New wheel bearings, new differential fluid (pretty sure it's never been changed and I have 181500 on it now), new oil, new filter, switching back to air box. Lots of plans. Hopefully this is the last crappy fuel up.

Took all of the pizza pans off. Didn't drive optimally this tank due to being late to work twice. Oops.

Terrible mileage this go round. Took off the front two pizza pans because it was so loud in the vehicle and that may be a contributing factor to why it was so bad.

A lot of this trip was city driving. I'd estimate about 80% was constant stop and go through red lights and 5 o clock traffic.

Not the best start to my fuel log
