60 Minutess; Global Warming AGAIN??

It is so painfully clear that a huge percentage of people will clog roads, burn up millions of gallons of oil- no matter what is on TV. Curious that 60 Minutes brought up the same old glacier melting and polar bears dieing off.

Seemed like a re-run! Sad that we never can agree on transportation. I thought that Global Warming was already supposed to be a big joke- according to half of the US.

I turned on the TV late, but a helicopter was being flown near the north pole, a large part of a glacier was falling into the ocean, a mention of Greenland melting, then showed a polar bear shot with a tranquilizer for study.

Something about man and cars being the cause ; it was just plain weird!

I was listening on the radio version maybe a little bit before you. I was hearing the part where the science was being suppressed and/or skewed by the bush administration (i.e. climate reports to Congress being re-written by lawyers to weaken statements related to global warming), but I already knew about that. Science is always politicized to a degree, but it has reached whole new levels these days.

Very interesting to me - all of a sudden seeing that made me think that I really *had* found a time warp after all!

^ yeap. when it comes to the eco, i'd rate bush - and all members of his administration (except colon powell ) on a -743.12 of a scale on 1-10.

The question when it comes to the politics is when/how we can find a canidate that actually takes these things serious enough to tell the auto and oil companies to " off."

Watch all 9 parts. It's not science until you look at both sides. If it's one sided, it's an agenda and nothing more.

You must have an agenda having dragged this post out of some dark corner of the archives closet.

Science is not about a 2 sided argument. Science is about having a theory and trying to prove it through repetition and experiments that can be duplicated and verified.

I'm not about to watch 90 minutes of political bull$hit. I watched a couple of minutes, and the "scientists" onscreen were repeating the theory about man-made CO2 causing "global warming". Climate change is real and has very many more factors than man-made CO2, but to say anything like the dominant species on this planet doesn't have any effect on the environment is thoroughly ignorant.

I did check out a little bout the film-maker, and on the surface it does seem like he is some kind of conspiracy theory aficionado.
