Many EM Fastskinz posts...

The dimples look pretty minimal on the skinz , I think the principle would work better with deeper dimples , say a 1/2 inch in depth.

tested!

I think the myth buster Twins made the Dimples much to large by about 900% If the dimples were 1" in circumference and 1/2" deep a positive *effect* may be still be realized . Using the Giant myth buster size dimples negates any effect in my opinion and is probably the reason mpg went down in their tests. They increases cd with the larger bumpier surface area. Destined to fail using their tests conditions. |
Wanna borrow my ball peen hammer?
Congrats ecomodded looks like you recently hit a milestone in posts too:thumbup: |
I did not catch that until you mentioned it ,my 1000th Post was just realized.
In the process gaining a fair amount of knowledge on the subject of fuel economy. Mostly on my subjects of interest .. I have plenty of ball peen hammers to the tune of 4 or 5.. My grandfather was a machinist leaving me a mess of his tools ,some in triplicate.. But thanks for the offer ;) It will be best to test the ball peen dimples on someone else car, I am currently testing my paint for longevity .. test is not due to end till I sell it or crash it whatever comes first. |
