First Fill After Finding This Blog and...

First fill on the car was before applying mods and techniques. Second fill included some mods and improved techniques.

Look at the numbers. I'm impressed how well the advice worked out. My goal was to hit 50 mpg and broke that by 5.

Stoked

Nice, a 30% bump sounds about right when going from normal driving to driving attentively. Try coasting up to red lights as well, it makes a big difference.

Keep the good work and try to get even better results. It's a real fun!

And now you're going to start thinking of that as the floor...

I remember how shocked I was with my first tank, that's an awesome feeling. Welcome to the fun!

I will try to keep it above 50 mpg with the current mods/setup. I did a lot of coasting with the engine off to achieve 55 mpg. I do not like turning the engine on and off a lot because it is my understanding that a majority of engine wear comes from start up. If I can keep it above 50 mpg I will be more than happy

If I am mistaken please correct me and also please let me know if there is a thread already addressing this issue.

from a cold engine, sitting and all oil drained to crankcase. warm, oil still in upper half, not a major factor.

If you had a turbo, I'd be more worried about a lot of hot starts. No turbo, no worries. It's the cold starts that do the dirty work.
