Ecomodder-itis
This site sure has influenced me. I find myself looking at cars when I am bored and working possibilities of how to aero-mod them. I also find that I get up close to new cars to see if the actual grill opened areas are smaller than the blacked out grill looks like from first appearance, most times they are. 
Anyone else find themselves doing this or am I just a weirdy?

I'm not so much into extreme aeromodding, but often I caught me lurking around it. I'm however more focused on weight reduction, sometimes I see a random car and start to think how lighter could it be with a different interior trim, or a set of wheels, or some body panels made out of composite materials, among other improvements. Well, some custom-made lightweight body panels can actually also be aerodynamically-enhanced, such as a front clip with lowered headlights and grille, with the bonnet in a different angle...

06 Canyon: The vacuum gauge plus wheel covers helped increase summer 2015 mileage to 38.5 MPG, while summer 2016 mileage was 38.6 MPG without the wheel covers. Drove 33,021 miles 2016-2018 at 35.00 MPG.
22 Maverick: Summer 2022 burned 62.74 gallons in 3145.1 miles for 50.1 MPG. Winter 2023-2024 - 2416.7 miles, 58.66 gallons for 41 MPG.

My Insight has a stereo with a USB plug in the armrest, so now for the first time I can drive and at the same time enjoy all those old CD's I copied on my 32GB USB stick.
So I hear Robert Cray sing "Gotta make a comeback to your heart" and immediately think that it is useless to make Kammbacks on a heart...
Who knows, Robert Cray may just hook some female ecomodder with that?

As it turns out, the guy in the cubicle next to me at work is also interested in aerodynamics... we got to talking about aeromodding and stuff. Eventually we got word from the aero lab about how different bumper styling and grille openings affect cooling and aero. Really cool stuff, especially when you get to see it take shape on the studio floor!

Thinking about it everytime I drive  . Also when walking I check cars and imagine how I would ecomod it.

This is happenning to me quite frequently these days. Friday I've been into a few dealerships from Subaru, BMW and Ssangyong, and while I was looking into the cars I was already looking for features that should be modded |

Slightly related I find myself looking at unmodded cars and trying to work out if their grills are actually open or blocked. E.g. the new VW Polo upper grill is only for show as far as I can make out, the Up! has no upper grill.
