Here is a link to Ford's Evos concept car, shot in the wind tunnel:

Dare I say it? That is one sexy looking concept! And not just because of the aerodynamic prowess!
I like the headlights, but how do they work in reality? They look more like a horses' eyes: sideways looking, rather than forward. EDIT: Nevermind, looked at a pic of the front end, they are very frontward facing. http://preview.netcarshow.com/Ford-E...pt-2011-hd.jpg |
headlights
I'd guess projector beams with zero diffusion.Quite blinding to other motorists. The DOT ate a big bowl full of stupid on this issue.Very dangerous!

One of my favorite cars. Betcha you though it was a 2-door. :) http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-fr...llpaper-09.jpg If I was updating the Volkhart-Saggita, this is the door arrangement I would use. Note the arm that reaches to the middle of the windshield. I'd even reproduce the bucket seat as an aluminum bomber seat. http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-fr...llpaper-33.jpg http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-fr...re5823-004.jpg The headlights? I'd reserve judgement untill I see them shining on a wall. Could be LEDs. |
I'm not sure if I like the wings. I've never really been a fan of them though. Maybe if the front two were "normal" and the back doors were wings, it might be better (IMO). I guess with this type of car it's gotta be fancy, huh?
Also, on your second pic of the driver side with the open doors, is that the gas door and/or plug underneath the passenger door? |

Still, it looks promising in profile. |
Those are doors? Do I need to point out rain? Are those mirrors or sensors?

Gas door/plug? I don't know. Quote:

We have a monsoon season, where we get all of our rain at once. |
Actually, those doors would act partially as a roof over your head as you got in or out. Yeas, a bit of rain/snow etc would get in, but that is not a deal breaker, I don't think. These are hinged doors - they look a lot like what the "production" version of the Aptera had. More complicated than they could be, but not as complicated as scissor doors.
