new skirts

Hi,

I put bigger tires on sc1, from 165/80R15 to 205/70R15. These are the biggest tires that will fit without rubbing on the front strut spring mount. The new tires rubbed through the bungee cords the first time out and the skirt ripped off as I hit 55 mph. I just replaced with new front skirts. Car drives fine, 2 liter engine at 2200 rpm at 70 mph. Handles better than the skinny tires. MPG results in about a month when I fill up. Coast down results soon.

Finished skirt:

Bungee underneath:

Progress made:

205/70R15 without skirt:

Old skirt showing 4 months of tire rub marks and foam block. I think a lot of it are from the big tires.
