Odd enough, many of those cars could eventually be still roadworthy in my country, or exported to Paraguay and parts of Africa. I guess many are sent to the scrapyard (well, sort of...) mostly due to all that obsession with Euro emission standards and low-emission zones...

The mantra is: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Here's the reuse part:

My favorite? The four-banger bobber.

So I guess a regular salvaged/rebuilt cars made out of parts from other 3 or 4 wrecked/dismantled cars would also count as reuse, sorta like the old-school hot-rods :D

Quite harder to attempt anything similar nowadays that most cars and compact SUVs resort to the unibody design, yet once in a while I still see a cabrito rebuilt with parts of different cars, either wrecked or stolen. Structural integrity becomes pathetic...
