Allow myself to introduce.. myself..

Hi everyone, I just realized I jumped the gun by starting a new thread without properly introducing myself, sorry about that! So, here goes: I am 28 years old, and I live in the Netherlands - gas prices have recently increased from 'crazy' to 'troubling', quickly approaching US$10/gallon when the exchange rate is taken into account. This makes me think about more fuel efficient transportation. That's why I started the thread "Designing for Efficiency" - I'd love to self-design and (hopefully) build a small, fuel sipping commuter vehicle to ease the pain at the pump. I'll be doing a lot of browsing and reading through hundreds of interesting posts.. I will probably also be asking a ton of questions - sorry if some of them seem noobish, I am new at this, after all..

See you guys around!

*waves*

Welcome to EM, akumabito

Looks like you have rather big project on your hands. What are you driving at the moment, and how is your fuel consumption?

Currently driving a Seat Toledo 1.6l petrol. It's my girlfriend's car - or rather, her baby. No mods allowed, I'm afraid.. at my current job we can carpool together, which helps a lot. In september I'll be starting at a new job, which is about 30 miles the other way. I'll need my own car by then. I will probably opt for a small Fiat model, most likely a mid-90's Cinquecento. This is a long-term project, and a big one at that. I can only hope I can see it through to the end.. *fingers crossed*

No mods, heh? Would she notice pumped up tires or a stealth grille block?
