Here's the game plan,
I want to get some Geo Metro tires for my crx and cover them with moon caps.

Is this going to help drastically over my stock Honda wheels?

Geo tires are skinnier right?

How could I get a hold of some of these for fairly cheap?

Replace the oe tires with 155/80R13.

SLIGHT aero advantage over stock, but not much other benefit, and the front end will feel considerably more sloppy, especially with power steering equipped cars. You'd be better off, if not buying used or on a VERY good deal, to replace with a high mileage (tread wear designation) OE size tire, inflated to the sidewall pressure.

The GEO bolt pattern is different, won't bolt on.

Ok, so what about rims? Just some basic ones and throw some moon caps on there?

And I've always wondered, haven't felt different myself, does the car drive better or worse if say I have the back tires at 44 and the front at 46?

Any 4x100 fwd wheel works, as long as it fits over the hub center and the calipers.

There are some very light wheels available, but if you are on the highway more than stop and go, weight isn't such a concern.

Best combination would be light weight and aero, of course.

Search the forum, plenty of wheel threads around.

CRX HF rims are steel 13" by 4.5" wide rims, where most older civic and CRX rims are 13" by 5" or 14" by 5.5", the steel HF rims are also 12-13 pounds, so a few pounds lighter then average steel rims but if you really want light narrow rims go with the Civic VX rims they are 13" and I think 4.5" wide alloy rims, only draw back is it's harder to put moon caps on them as they don't have the lip that holds most hub caps on.
Honda Insight rims and Civic HX rims also will bolt on to your car and are light weight, the insight are already smooth so you don't need hub caps on them, draw back of them is that they are 14" and tires are hard to find without going with a larger/taller tire.

The very first CRX Si wheels were 13", weighed 10lbs or less, and were fairly smooth.

I wasn't aware of those rims, a nice option altho very hard to find at junk yards, if you get the 14" insight rims and stock insight tires, you will be close enough that your speedometer should be pretty close and you will have nice low rolling resistance tires, insight rims can take a bit of searching to find as well but are more common and are newer, they also look really slick.

Must purple aren't aware of them, they're '85Si only, which if why I was so pissed when a member of RPR STOLE them off my car, with no legal recourse available to me.

So my best bet would be some insight wheels then huh?..
What generation insight? And how much are those going to go for do you think?
