GM bringing the LUV back?

Small trucks are the next big thing. GM has a compact truck in the works and should bring the LUV brand name back to endear the new generation.
GM Might Have A Secret Small Truck Project

Getting smaller...Chevrolet Colorado - True American Truck Spirit and Perfect Compagnion

Who in GM hired the blind guy and said they could be a designer?? Every new car that the general releases look worse than the last. It just keeps getting harder to be a GM guy when every car looks like a terrible cartoon version of the real thing...

Would love to see a new LUV truck...but I'd rather see a 4 door, 4cly TRUE station wagon more.

Who would buy it and why?

Yet Ford killed off the Ranger. And Dakotas aren't getting any smaller. A nice 2011 Ranger brings as much money at the auction now as they did when they were new, so there's obviously a demand for them - I don't get why simple, small trucks are not way more prevalent in the market. Try and find a new regular cab, 4 cylinder, 5 speed 4x4 Tacoma even, they never even sold them in Canada! I looked at buying one new out of the States a few years back when the dollar was at par just because I don't think those will even be around much longer, if you can still even get them.

Edit: I see Toyota USA still sells them, so there's still some hope lol

What about the 'old' Nissan and Toyota mini pickups...and those FWD Dodge Rampages?

Chrysler axed the dakota because they realized it was competing with the ram 1500.

Who can say UTE?

The Chevy Montana image:

I dislike the Chevy, but I'll be honest, essentially every ute in Australia is sexy.

To me, a truck that can work all week, and still take [the family] to mass on Sunday.

I would buy a modern rampage if they were made.

I had hope scion would launch the xp.

It is funny the "Small" trucks all went away and were replaced with "mid: size truck (Dakota, Colorado, Tacoma) now we are talking about small again. The problem with modern mid size trucks is they put to big of engines in them and they really do not get that much better mileage then the "big" one.
Now the question is there a market of real small trucks? Chevy Luv, Original Ranger or other import small truck. Or unibody VW Rabbit Truck,Subaru Brat
